Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 23, 2026

1. Introduction & Scope

Exeet is operated by Exeet Labs SAS, a company organized under the laws of France that provides the Exeet mobile application and this website to users in the United States and other markets (“Exeet”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). Exeet is a real-life dating and meetup service: we help adults discover compatible people and meet them in person at public venues.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to your use of the Exeet app, this website (exeet.app), and related services. If you are a California resident, please see Section 7 (Your California Privacy Rights) for additional disclosures under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (“CCPA/CPRA”). By using Exeet, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal information, in line with the categories defined under the CCPA/CPRA.

2.1 Information you provide on this website

When you pre-register or sign up for the beta on exeet.app, we collect:

  • Email address
  • First name
  • City
  • Phone number (optional)
  • Gender and age range
  • A timestamp recording your consent
  • Your IP address and user-agent, recorded automatically for anti-bot protection and rate limiting

2.2 Information collected in the app

Sensitive personal information

We process biometric information for identity and liveness verification (see Section 3) and precise geolocation to surface nearby people and meetup venues. We process this data only with your consent and only to provide and secure the service.

  • Identifiers. Phone number, name or first name, account identifiers, and device identifiers.
  • Account & profile information. Date of birth and age, gender, photos, interests, lifestyle answers, and the audio or video “confidences” you choose to add.
  • Commercial information. Records of purchases (Meet Pass, SuperVibe, subscriptions) and your transaction history. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers.
  • Internet & device activity. App usage, interactions, approximate and precise location, device and operating-system data, and diagnostic information.
  • Audio & visual information. Profile photos, and audio or video recordings you submit, which may be reviewed by automated and human moderation for safety.

We collect this information directly from you, automatically as you use the app and website, and from service providers that help us deliver and secure the service.

3. Biometric Information

To keep the community safe and to confirm that each profile belongs to a real, unique adult, Exeet offers identity and “liveness” verification that processes biometric information. We want to be transparent about exactly what this involves.

What we process. When you complete verification, our service captures a short selfie/liveness check and derives a mathematical facial signature — a 128-dimension numeric vector (a “face descriptor”), together with liveness and face-comparison results. This signature is a numeric representation of facial geometry; it is not a usable photograph of your face.

Why we process it. We use this information solely to: (a) confirm you are a live, real person; (b) verify that your selfie matches your profile photos; (c) detect and prevent fraud, duplicate accounts, and impersonation; and (d) enforce bans against users who violate our rules.

Who processes it. Liveness and face-comparison checks are performed using Amazon Web Services (AWS) Rekognition. The face descriptor is generated using facial-analysis technology and is stored by us in our secure database (operated on Supabase).

Storage, retention, and your consent

Your facial signature is stored (it is not kept only on your device). We retain biometric information for as long as your account is active and, for ban-enforcement signatures, for up to 24 months, after which they are automatically deleted. We ask for your explicit consent before any biometric capture, and you may decline verification (some safety features will then be unavailable). We do not sell biometric information and do not use it for advertising.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to:

  • create and manage your account, and process website pre-registration;
  • match you with compatible people and show nearby venues;
  • operate real-time and on-demand meetup features;
  • verify identity and keep the community safe;
  • process payments and manage subscriptions;
  • send service and safety notifications;
  • provide customer support;
  • analyze and improve the app and website; and
  • comply with legal obligations.

7. Your California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA gives you the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Right to know / access. Request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
  • Right to data portability. Receive the personal information you provided in a portable, readily usable format.

8. Other U.S. State Privacy Rights

Depending on your state of residence, other U.S. privacy laws may apply, including in Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon, and a growing number of other states. Where these laws apply, you may have the right to: confirm whether we process your personal information and access it; correct inaccuracies; delete personal information; obtain a portable copy; and opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal information, and certain profiling. As described above, we do not sell your personal information or use it for targeted advertising.

To exercise these rights, contact us at contact@exeet.eu. If we decline your request, you may appeal that decision by replying to our response or writing to the same address; we will inform you of our decision on the appeal within the time period required by your state law.

9. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information, except where we must retain certain records to comply with legal, tax, accounting, or fraud-prevention obligations, or to enforce bans. Ban-enforcement biometric signatures are retained for up to 24 months and then automatically deleted. Website pre-registration data is kept until it is no longer needed for the beta program, and anti-bot/rate-limiting records are kept only briefly.

10. Data Security

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encryption of data in transit, access controls, row-level security in our database, and certificate pinning for the app's connections to our backend. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and to address incidents promptly.

11. International Users & Transfers

Exeet is operated from France and works with service providers located in the European Union and the United States. As a result, your personal information may be processed in, and transferred between, these regions. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers, including the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. By using Exeet, you understand that your information may be processed outside your state or country of residence.

12. Children's Privacy

Exeet is intended only for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and our verification process is designed to detect and block minors. If we learn that we have collected information from a person under 18, we will delete it. If you believe a minor is using Exeet, please contact us at contact@exeet.eu.

13. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA. You can still submit a request and read more about this on our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or website or by other reasonable means and update the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of Exeet after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.

15. Contact Us
